After working as Marketing Information Manager and Brand Manager (Bells, 100 Pipers, Three Ships, Campari, and others) at Stellenbosch Farmers Wineries (now Distell) I consulted clients as Media Director and then Strategic Planning Director at BBDO. Since 1984 I have consulted with most major marketers in my role as founder of Impact Information and MD of Millward Brown.

I have special interest in the areas of Inter-brand Budgeting and Market Segmentation (Chapters 27 and 28 in The Branded Mind) because these are areas where big marketers can benefit from the experiences and insights that are new to them.

After 26 years of advertising research (having developed the largest advertising database of over 65 000 advertisement, setting up the first tracking study in South Africa - still running after 17 years, authoring two international books about advertising that has been translated into 9 languages, and speaking at advertising conferences in 4 continents) I can contribute a lot to the advertising and research plans of any company.
